Psychiatrist

"In the past, before becoming a psychiatrist, I had the opportunity to work as a general practitioner, treating patients in various departments such as internal medicine, surgery, cancer wards, and pediatric wards. This exposed me to the significant number of patients experiencing mental health issues such as stress, anxiety, and depression, often left untreated for various reasons, including accessibility and the shortage of psychiatrists. Mental health, though not as immediately life-threatening as heart diseases or stroke, profoundly affects the quality of life for many. After working with cancer patients and their families, experiencing their emotional struggles and losses, I realized the importance of mental health care in providing a better quality of life during their challenging journey.

Despite advancements in medical technology, I believe that in the field of mental health, human connection and understanding remain indispensable. In moments of despair, where no solution seems apparent, patients often wish for someone to understand and accept them. Feeling hopeless, some may think that having another human provide a different perspective, a ray of hope, can help them discover their own value and increase self-love. In the realm of psychiatry, I still believe that human touch and empathy hold immense power.

Even today, when robotics and technology play a significant role in medical advancements, in the context of psychiatry, I am convinced that humans still need to be heard, understood, and accepted by other humans. In times of profound hopelessness, the idea of having another person who helps us see things from a different angle, making us rediscover our worth and increase self-love, can bring more happiness into our lives. Sometimes, a small spark of this thought might be what leads to the establishment of a psychiatric department".
